Karthik Sastry is a macroeconomist. His research focuses on the role of bounded rationality and social dynamics in shaping macroeconomic outcomes and on the economic determinants of global trends in technology and productivity. Karthik earned his Ph.D. in Economics from MIT in 2022 and his A.B. in Economics from Princeton University in 2016. In 2023, he will join Princeton University’s Department of Economics and School of Public and International Affairs as an Assistant Professor.
