The Center for History and Economics is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for its undergraduate prize studentships. These funds are intended to support research in areas broadly at the intersection of history and economics. Students in all years are welcome to apply. Past recipients have found the program helpful in preparing for sophomore tutorials, junior seminars, and senior theses, in addition to independent research.
The selected students will meet together fortnightly over lunch to present and discuss completed or ongoing work. The Center will reimburse students up to $200 for research-related costs, including books. The first meeting will take place in October, with subsequent meetings over the remainder of the academic year.
To apply, please submit a statement of no more than 500 words along with a CV or resume to firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than midnight OCTOBER 7th. In the statement, applicants should indicate a potential subject on which they might present and any reasons for applying. Applicants should also be sure to clearly indicate their name, concentration (or intended concentration), year, and any past coursework in history and/or economics.
