Introduction

This is the second in a series of meetings on the historical experience of economic crisis in relation to public health and health systems. The meetings are in connection with a new Joint Centre for History and Economics project on Economic Crises and Health in Historical Perspective.

The meeting will be made up of four sessions: an overview of migration and health in historical perspective; a session on the migration of health personnel; a panel discussion on the health of migrants; and a concluding roundtable discussion on economic crises, health and health policy.

The Center for History and Economics is grateful to the Rockefeller Foundation for their support to the economic crises and health in historical perspective programme. For further information, please contact Emily Gauthier.
